Interests and methodology of research

Dr Dragan Milanović is dedicated to the research of the socio-economic processes that led to the disintegration of Neolithic and formation of Eneolithic cultures on the Balkan Peninsula. Dr Milanović is also dedicated to the observation of similar processes in the 5^th and the 4^th millennium B. C. on the territory of Europe and Asia. Dr Milanović is focused on the study of the material and spiritual culture of the Copper Age (Eneolithic) communities, with an emphasis on the patterns of populating, the introduction of copper metallurgy and socio-economic changes. Dr Milanović also researches the geographical context of the settlements of Central Balkan prehistoric populations and their socio-economic implications.
