Interests and methodology of research

Dr Milica Radišić studies the cultural, social and economic development of populations from the Balkans and Central Europe in the period of the population of Slavs, Bulgarians and Hungarians, and the foundation of their states from the 7^th to the 12^th century. She endeavours to observe the character and intensity of the mutual relationships of newly settled populations with great empires like the Byzantine, Kievan Rus’ and Carolingian/Holy Roman empires. Dr Radišić also studies craft-artistic impulses, designations of social status and burial customs. Dr Radišić focuses on the studies of material culture, emphasising technological and stylistic-typological analyses of metal finds.
