StećakLand Project Selected for the WSA Shortlist!
Dear colleagues,
At the very end of 2025, we are pleased to announce that the StećakLand project, implemented within the Creative Europe programme, has been selected for the WSA Shortlist 2025. Over the past weeks, more than 160 international experts have reviewed nominations submitted from around the world. Following a thorough evaluation process, the StećakLand project stood out among numerous candidates in the Culture & Heritage category.
This recognition places the StećakLand project among leading global purpose-driven digital initiatives whose work achieves a significant local impact while simultaneously contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).
We hope that the New Year 2026 will bring an exciting continuation and positive final results!
The StećakLand project was nominated by Ivana Kostić, World Summit Awards National Expert, while the Institute of Archaeology submitted the application on behalf of the entire consortium. We would like to express our special gratitude to our coordinator DIGI.BA for their support and trust throughout the nomination process, through which the innovative character of the StećakLand project, developed within the Creative Europe programme, has been recognized at the global level, as confirmed by its selection for the WSA Shortlist 2025.
