Interests and methodology of research
MA Ružica Savić researches the architecture of houses in the late Neolithic. Her research is focused on the discovery of social dynamics’ influences on the changes that can be perceived in architecture. Her research is based on the analysis of the house building tradition, with the aim to observe the patterns of similarities and differences in regional and local plans. Her research focus is the reconstruction of the web of knowledge and idea transmission in time and space, that is the observation of characters of cultural change and possible models of social learning, with an intention to reconstruct the process of knowledge transmission about house building as a reflection of the social structure and relationships between the households on a local level and settlements on a regional level. She started her research on the locality of Drenovac, as a member of the research team, in 2008. Her work is also aimed towards experimental research with the goal to obtain more accurate data regarding house building technology.
