Interests and methodology of research

 

Dr Gordana Jeremić is engaged in Roman provincial archaeology, Late Antiquity, Limes, late antique mosaics, fresco-painting, early Christianity and history of the discipline. Dr Jeremić has experience in the analysis of finds, stratigraphy and architectural remains through the different periods of Roman and Late Roman domination on the territory of today’s Serbia. She particularly focuses on questions of the urbanisation of Podunavlje and the interior of the province, problems of the social dynamics and technological accomplishments of Roman and Late Roman society, as well as questions related to transformation in the sphere of public space, culture and quality of life and living. In the sphere of religion, she particularly deals with the of the consolidation of Christianity in the aforementioned territory.
