Interests and methodology of research
MA Mirjana Đorđević studies the Late Prehistory of the Central Balkans, with a particular focus on the Eneolithic period and the analysis of chipped stone artefacts. Her research focuses on understanding the role of stone tools in the social and economic transformations that characterize this period, especially in the context of metallurgy. Through the study of production technology, the organisation of production, distribution, and the use of stone tools, her work contributes to a better understanding of the dynamics of cultural influences, as well as identifying elements of tradition and innovation in their production and use.
