Interests and methodology of research
The scientific interests of Dr Nemanja Marković are in a wide context, focused on the analysis of animal skeletal remains from archaeological localities. The focus of Dr Marković’s research can be divided into two main directions: reconstruction of the interaction between people and animals in the past, mainly in historic periods, and paleopathology – research of ancient animal diseases. Dr Marković started pioneering research in the area of animal paleopathology in the Central Balkans and he is currently working on the further development of this discipline in the mentioned territory.
