Interests and methodology of research
Dr Selena Vitezović researches the prehistory of south-eastern Europe, particularly the Mesolithic, Neolithic and Eneolithic periods. She is engaged in the research of a large number of prehistoric localities in south-eastern Europe. Dr Vitezović’s focus is on research related to the economics and technology in prehistory, particularly on the analysis of the bone industry, questions of technological choices and production, the technology of manufacture, organisation of production exchange and trade, and on the questions associated with the symbolic aspects of communities from the past – ornaments, decoration, relationships between humans and animals, etc.
