Interests and methodology of research

 

Dr Mirjana Vojvoda has been researching antique numismatic since 1995 and is focused on: hoards of Roman coins from Moesia Superior and neighbouring provinces; circulation of provincial coinage, particularly from Viminacium and Niceia; roles that coinage had in funerary rituals in Viminacium necropolises; iconography and propaganda on Roman imperial coins, and on the monetary finds from on-going archaeological research in Viminacium.
