The project is co-financed through the Creative Europe call (Project ID: 101099222), and is focused on: <\/span><b>promoting archaeological sites through the performing arts and strives to identify innovative, effective and applicable models for the improvement of archaeological sites and the active involvement of local communities in artistic production, for a better experience and appreciation of cultural heritage, and the promotion of international exchange of European artists.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The purpose of the project is to create a common and adaptable general model of work, which would be further spread and used at the European level, and which, through the creativity of dance, combines material cultural heritage, i.e., archaeological sites, with intangible heritage, which is nurtured through stories in local communities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dancing Histor(y)ies includes thirteen institutions from eleven different European countries with extensive experience in cultural site management, performing arts, dance production, research and training, as well as design, management and evaluation of EU-funded projects. This is where its operational goal comes from; the creation of a European dialogue that results from the meeting of the southern Mediterranean area, where there are cultural sites (Spain, Italy, Greece, Republic of Serbia), with Northern, Central and Eastern Europe (Sweden, Czech Republic, Poland, Bulgaria), where the artistic partners come from. The diverse nature of the organizations involved allows the project to benefit from different perspectives that contribute to the improvement and promotion of international dialogue and cooperation among cultural organisations.
