{"id":10862,"date":"2026-04-06T10:16:55","date_gmt":"2026-04-06T09:16:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ai.ac.rs\/?p=10862"},"modified":"2026-04-06T10:18:32","modified_gmt":"2026-04-06T09:18:32","slug":"serbian-slovak-bilateral-project-research-of-cultural-contacts-along-the-danube-corridor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ai.ac.rs\/en\/serbian-slovak-bilateral-project-research-of-cultural-contacts-along-the-danube-corridor\/","title":{"rendered":"Serbian\u2013Slovak Bilateral Project: Research of Cultural Contacts along the Danube Corridor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"137\" data-end=\"457\">Within the framework of international scientific cooperation, Dr Vojislav Filipovi\u0107, on behalf of the Institute of Archaeology, is implementing a bilateral project between Serbia and Slovakia focused on the study of cultural contacts, communication routes, and long-distance trade from prehistory to the 12th century AD.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"459\" data-end=\"922\">The project focuses on the analysis of key communication corridors, primarily the Danube region, as well as the Danube\/Tisza \u2013 Morava \u2013 Vardar (Axios) route, which represented major axes for the movement of people, goods, and ideas between Central Europe and the Balkans. Special attention is given to prehistoric periods (Copper Age, Bronze Age, and Iron Age), when natural routes played a crucial role in shaping the intensity of cultural contacts and exchange.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"924\" data-end=\"1380\">Within historical periods (1st\u201312th centuries AD), the research is directed toward understanding dynamic processes during the Roman period, the Migration period, Slavic colonisation, the Avar Khaganate, and the period of Slavic\u2013Hungarian symbiosis.
